Outreach

Public outreach is an important component of science. Dr. Hudson and his students participate in numerous activities designed to communicate the importance of science and the excitement of scientific discoveries to people in Eastern North Carolina. One way they do this is by using LEGO® models to teach students about blood clots. Below you can see a colorized SEM image of a blood clot side-by-side with a LEGO®-based clot. Instruction booklets for building blood cells with LEGO® are included.
