I'm here to put you back on schedule
Scheduling and Project Management

Background:

Why Study Project Management? It is All Around Us!
1.     Successful Project Management Relies Heavily on proper Supply Chain Management through the timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of materials, supplies, equipment, services, and labor.
2.     Demand and supply changes impact project management schedules resulting in missed milestones, rework, contract/timeline penalties, and cost overruns.
3.     Managers must be cognizant of how a project is impacted by supply chain disruptions and how a project change alters supply chain requirements.

Questions for Thought:
1.     In a very ominous manner, Darth Vader (aka the Hatchet Man), appears to put the Death Star "back on schedule".  Have you every been on a job when the Hatchet Man appears to put things "back on schedule?
2.     Verbiage such as "My men are working as fast as they can." or "Perhaps I can find new ways to motivate them." or "The Emperor does not share your optimistic appraisal of the situation." are used in the video clip.  These are common in project management (maybe not the exact words).  Have you ever experienced this type of verbiage?
3.     The project manager is visible disturbed when he hears that the Emperor himself is coming to peruse the progress of the Death Star.  This is commonplace in the project management field.  Have you ever been onsite when the "Big Boss" makes an appearance regarding the project at hand?
