Research Interests

  • Theoretical Atomic and Molecular Physics:
Interaction cross sections of charged particles (electrons, protons, alpha particles, light ions, heavy ions, HZE particles) with atoms, molecules and condensed matter. Special interest in biologically relevant materials like liquid water, proteins, and DNA.
  • Monte Carlo Simulations:
Track structure (event-by-event) Monte Carlo simulations of radiation transport. Code development and applications in radiation physics, medical physics, and radiation biology.
